His research has been widely cited and he has appeared on major media outlets. His commentaries have appeared in print and online venues such as National Review Online, The Houston Chronicle, and The Baltimore Sun. Lips also has testified before congressional and state legislative committees. In 2008, he was appointed to the D.C.
